My name is Pamela Carbajal
I believe people-centered built environments enable us to better cities and communities.
I am a qualified and professional architect and urban planner with experience in project management, coordination, capacity building, advisory, and providing technical support to cities and national governments and UN-Habitat in the field of sustainable and healthy urban development.
I like to think of myself as a creative problem-solving, organized, and client-oriented, team player with a positive attitude and assertive decision-making empathetic personality.
I belive Interdisiplinary designs and strong partnerships is the only way to achive the SDG´s. I personaly have engage with a wide range of stakeholders including UN agencies, national governments, local authorities, researchers, and NGO ́s towards "Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable" (SDG 11).

Managed the program planning for healthy cities and territories and its global partnerships including WHO; Delivered capacity-building activities (trainings and workshops); Coordinated global advocacy, and awareness events, webinars and social media campaigns; Provided technical advisory to countries and cities in Latin America, Asia, and Africa on urban health and city-wide public space strategies.

Provided technical support to National and Local governments on the development of national/sub- national urban policies in Latin America; Coordinated an expert group meeting on socially inclusive urban policies in Bolivia; Coordinated sharing of knowledge and best practices on urban health; Drafted and conceptualized project documents.

Project Coordinator for the GDARSpaces project. Supporting the day-to-day operational management of the project in close partnership with local counterparts at collaborating institutions in Africa, South Asia, South America and the Caribbean. GDARSpaces aims to better understand urbanisation and climate- change (syndemic)-related NCD hazards, through a programme of thematically related studies.
